When to Choose Single-Sided
- Signs face one direction of traffic (for example, along a one-way street or sidewalk).
- The message only needs to be seen from one side.
- You want the lowest price per sign.
- The back of the sign will face a wall, building, or area with little foot or vehicle traffic.
When to Choose Double-Sided
- People will approach the sign from both directions.
- The sign will be placed in a yard, parking lot, or open area with traffic on both sides.
- You want the same message visible no matter which way someone is traveling.
- The extra cost is worth the additional visibility.
Simple Rule of Thumb
If the sign will only be read from one side, order single-sided. If traffic or foot traffic comes from both directions, order double-sided. The price difference is usually modest compared with the extra visibility.
